Photos of last season's sheep are below. They have all found new homes!

Johnny B
Born 1/5/25
Ram
Our 5 year old daughter has enjoyed helping us raise our new lambs + naming them too! She has named this first ram John the Baptist, Johnny B for short :)
He will be registered with NABSSAR + available to go to his new ranch in Spring 2025.

Dr. Jumba
Born 1/29/25
Ram
Named by our 3 year old son after a character from Lilo & Stitch. (His tail will be docked). Will be NABSSAR Registered and available to take to his new home this March.

Drac
Born 1/24/25
Ram
The kids are into the Hotel Transylvania movies so yes, this black babydoll boy is named Dracula! He will be registered and available Spring 2025.

Joseph
Born 4/5/2025
Ram
Well, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is the new favorite movie around here... so we present Augustus Gloop! *UPDATE! Augustus is now Joseph:) (Our daughter decided to take a Biblical route for this baby's namesake! So his registration documentation will show his new name, Joseph!)
His tail will be docked, administered first vaccine and dewormed. Will be NABSSAR Registered and available to take to his new home this June.

James
Born 1/28/25
Ram
His Mama's name is Mary (from the Bible), so of course this little babydoll lamb is James!
He will be NABSSAR registered and available Spring 2025.

TeeVee
Born 4/30/25
Welp, we ended up having SIX RAMS this breeding season! (No ewes! Crazy!). Little Mike TeeVee was in fact our littlest ram so far - he is so sweet and tiny! I didn't post him at first because he was spoken for before I could update my website, but alas, he is now available again. Lucky you!! :) He is pictured here alongside his mama.
We are an organic ranch. We do not vaccinate our lambs. We deworm them though. Lambs will have their tails docked.
To reserve your Babydoll lamb, reach out to 254-203-2077. Your lamb will be held with a non refundable deposit + the balance is paid at pick up. No ranch visits prior to pick up for the safety of our animals and family - Thank you for understanding!
WE DO NOT DELIVER. Do you live outside of the state of Texas? No problem! We can work with a non-affiliated livestock hauler for pickup. Looking for a livestock hauler? Try this link. We are not affiliated with any of these haulers - just trying to provide resources for you!
Our
Story

A little about us & our Texas Babydoll sheep!
We raise, breed + sell registered Babydoll Southdown Sheep in Texas. Rockin' Chair Ranch is located in Central Texas. (Crawford which is right outside of Waco. Waco is just about 1.5 hours from both Austin + Dallas).
Our sheep love their lives on our 7 acre ranch. As lambs, they are handled by us and our young children. Even as adult sheep, they are around us everyday! We love the different personalities that all of the sheep have.
Fun fact, we originally hail from Arizona but now live in Texas.
Long story short - we fell in love with Babydoll sheep + have a growing flock! We have babydoll lambs + sheep for sale.

Reach out if you'd like to start or add to your own flock by reserving one of our lambs. View our available lambs here, on our Instagram page (RockinChairRanch) or on our Facebook page (Waco Texas Babydoll Sheep AzTex Rockin' Chair Ranch). You can also join our lamb/sheep waitlist.
2025 winter lambs. We were blessed to have 4 healthy baby rams born in January! (we were expecting them all to come in March, so each was a big surprise!)

Why we love Babydoll Southdown sheep
We fell in love with babydoll Southdown sheep at first because, well, they are just so cute! With us having young children, we wanted to have farm animals that we felt would be safe to have around our children. If our kids ever wanted to wonder out to the barnyard or pasture by themselves, we wanted to know they were safe and around docile animals. We also needed some help keeping our pastures mowed down!
Babydoll Sheep are a smaller (18-24 inches tall), hardy and gentle breed. They are easy keepers + great for any first-time ranchers or hobby farmers. Their size makes them great for children's 4H project animals as well!
The other reasons we decided to raise them:
-Great natural lawn mowers, weeders + fertilizers for our property
-Perfect homestead animal or children's 4H project animal (you can keep up to 5 babydoll (plus their lambs) per acre of land!)
-They are so sweet + have a natural smile to their faces! :)
-Produce great fleece
-They are good meat animals (although so cute I don't think we would ever eat one! I believe their smaller stature is what makes them not a choice meat animal/breed these days. They used to be when they were first bred a long time ago. Some babydoll breeders will refuse to sell their livestock for meat purposes.)

Our sheep are registered with the North American BABYDOLL Southdown Sheep Association and Registry (NABSSAR).
Go here to the NBSSAR website for more information on this amazing breed.
coming soon...
more about our [adult]
ewes + rams
Our flock has bloodlines originating from Texas, Oklahoma + Missouri so we think that we have a great genetically diverse line. Limited sheep/lambs will be available throughout the year.Â
